2017/2018 SEAN Scholarships for Nigerian Students
Society of Educational Administrators of Nigeria (SEAN) is currently accepting applications for its 2017/2018 scholarships scheme. SEAN was founded to promote professionalism in the practice of Educational Administration and to contribute to governance and development of leadership in Educational Administration from the pre-primary, through the tertiary levels, and in the related parastatals in Nigeria.
Scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of study. Receipt of the award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of a 60% overall average mark in the previous academic year. The awards can be renewed for a maximum of four academic sessions, except for medical and other professional studies lasting beyond this period. In each instance, the Scholarship Committee will review academic records from the preceding period.
Eligibility
To qualify for consideration, the applicant MUST:
- Be a student or an intending student to be enrolled in an accredited Nigerian post-secondary institution and
- Demonstrate a desire and intent to fulfill a leadership role in your chosen field of of study.
Application Closing Date and Submission
All required documents and letter of recommendation must be received by the Scholarships Committee no later than 15th February 2017. Only shortlisted candidates who meet the selection requirement will be notified and contacted by 30th March 2017.

Required Documents
- Download and print a copy of the Scholarship Application Form from the website or obtain it from our offices in person or request for the application form by email: scholarships@seadmin.org
- A current resume
- An official evidence of admission and copy of Studentship (If currently enrolled)
- An intending student must submit copy of secondary education certificate and JAMB/UME results to SEAN Scholarship
- Proof of payment of the Application fee of one thousand naira (N1,000), for post secondary candidate, two thousand and five hundred naira (N2,500), for undergraduate and five thousand naira for postgraduate (N5,000), into the Society’s account at any First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) Account (2001084706)
- A Personal statement – your career plans, how you hope to accomplish them and how these will contribute to a better Nigeria (Max 2 typed pages (8 ½ x 11, double-spaced).
